If a person wants to have his aesthetic surgery done by the skilled and well –trained surgeon, the first step when dealing with a procedure is to ensure the best consultation and  the best cosmetic surgeon for his needs.  And it is not hard to look for an experienced surgeon.    Here are some suggestions to find a respected and experienced cosmetic surgeon:

  • Search on the Internet. I did that so far. It is lot easier to visit various websites and read and understand the reviews found on it.
  •  It is also practical to join the forum joined by group of people sharing their experiences and knowledge about different plastic surgeries
  • Check the websites history and testaments of those clients that have undergone the procedure in that way, you'l be able to have structure formation of ideas from yourself that the one you choose favours your needs.

    Minimalist life?

"Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are.  When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you." - Lao Tzu

A minimalist eschews the mindset of more, of acquiring and consuming and shopping, of bigger is better, of the burden of stuff. A minimalist instead embraces the beauty of less, the aesthetic of spareness, a life of contentedness in what we need and what makes us truly happy. A minimalist realizes that acquiring stuff doesn't make us happy. That earning more and having more are meaningless. That filling your life with busy-ness and freneticism isn't desirable, but something to be avoided. A minimalist values quality, not quantity, in all forms.

Your minimalist life will be different than mine. You'll need to figure out what makes you happiest. Plan your ideal day. Then strip your life of the non-essentials, to make room for this ideal day, for the things and people
    you love. I still remember
Gandhi lived a very simple, frugal life. He died with very few possessions and he preached simplicity and minimalism in all areas of life. He also dressed simply and even persisted with his simple Indian loin cloth when he visited England and met the King. When asked if he was under dressed for a meeting with the King, Gandhi replied that the King had enough clothes on for both of them!

Minimalism is something I am beginning to apply in my life too. To get you started, please check out this excellent “Minimalist Guide” from my blogging mentor and friend Leo Babauta of Zen Habits. Start living a simpler minimalistic life from today – and you will release a lot of time and energy to bring more of Gandhi’s teachings into the world. Believe in your cause, follow your truth and stick to your journey even if you have to walk the path on your own. Gandhi at the end of his life was said to be heart broken with the partition of India as millions were killed and displaced. Even then, he still had a message for the world – it takes just one man to make a difference.

I would not qualify to be labeled as a minimalist but the idea does intrigue me.
For example I got interested in purchasing a condo unit. I bought one and loved it. Rather than just appreciating that one, I needed a more sophisticated and a bigger one! Not only did I need a bigger one but two or more would be even better! I ended up with 4 of it to schedule, re structure and allocate it for my monthly amortization.  I felt surprise to know of having them in just easily as that and at the same time I got to step back and think, I am single why am i acquiring assets as many as this since I dont have someone or even somebody to share this   I couldn't believe the relief I felt knowing I had one less to take care of! I can see how living more minimally would be a bit liberating and debt free haha.

When we are simple in our thoughts, we are simple in our responses to the outer environment i.e., to both situations and people. So internally we are able to remain content. This contentment further brings newness and creativity in the way we respond to situations, and we naturally experience further progress. When we think of our weaknesses as 'our' nature, we will not be able to overcome them. When there is the feeling of 'mine' there is a feeling of belonging, and naturally we feel a right to use that weakness. When we work with any weakness we will not be able to maintain stability. So I decided to come to my conclusion when you you live the life in a minimalistic way, you will end up living in a very simple and contented way.

    Life without a Purpose

I ask this to myself  at my stage right now after everything I earned and succeeded. I guess "Life without purpose is a life unlived." Seeking for achievement is not only for young and aggressive but can also be applied to those who are seasoned and satisfied. Whenever there is a big accomplishment, make sure you to use your full potential. Life Without Purpose . . . Possibly a Good Thing? I can only imagine seeing myself now without struggling to be different, to be somebody, to be a better person. A life without a purpose is a life without destination, your going to somewhere without exact place and a definite vision. That is something that I always ask myself if ever I encounter some difficulties in the past. Was I not good enough to be accepted on this position? It always fall into places where you are right destined and you work harder on it. Purpose provides for passion and meaning to replace tedium and aimlessness. The question “Why Am I Here?” goes much deeper than finding what career is best for you. Finding a purpose is ultimately a spiritual endeavor because it involves a process of connecting with something greater than yourself.

"Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has
no meaning. Without meaning, life has no signficance or hope.
.. The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without purpose"

          -- Rick Warren

Purpose always works its way out in action because passion is, at root, a matter of desire. Deliberately planned behaviors motivated by completely acknowledged desires result in the actions that move you and your circumstances into the life most appropriate to who you really are. Your life changes. The world changes because any person with a fully realized purpose cannot help but become a change-agent.

Purpose requires passion but can never be centered on lust, which is the will to dominate or control without associated feelings of love and affection. A genuine purpose always results in lifting one’s self and the world. A self-centered life will inevitably be flooded by the forces of stress, fatigue, and dissatisfaction that the working out of a genuine purpose will always alleviate. “The most important human endeavor,” Einstein wrote, “is the striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance and even our very existence depend on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to life.” But in reality mostly in the market that is hunger for success, Lust always in the center of the purpose and meaning to get what they want. Its sad but that's how the system works in the corporate world.

Our PURPOSE might be to leave the world a better place than the way we found it, or to make everyone we meet happier. Either of these purposes would be noble and achievables.  Another way would be to treat others with kindness, generosity, honesty, and respect. Our goal should be not merely to be good, but to be good for something. Its like that we as an individual should possess a true value of unselfishness loving and caring for someone. We need to be careful to choose a PURPOSE that will help us to grow, help our potential unfold, and help us transcend our present limitations. Our potential is staggering. We are co-creators of the universe. God has made us partners in creation. He created the universe. We created music. He created the world. We created the pyramids. He created life. We created language that allows us to reflect on life. Lastly, the benefit of living a life of purpose is to have a "Growth",you expand your horizon and discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you can ever imagine.

    Lockdown

I dont know if I will celebrate it for having a 2 days off, yeah no work being paid just home doing nothing. I get it, even familiarizing almost every corner of the ceilings and the steps from roof top down to the basement I already counted. I was even invited to join the party at another Villa just few steps from my house but I prefer just to be in my room (Movies - Foreign and back Home) I got carried away from it "Sa iyo Lamang"- I miss my country and few more months that I need to wait for my vacation again. Anyways, for those who do not have an Idea of what the subject is all about, I decided to get the exact meaning as follow:

"A lockdown is an emergency protocol to prevent people or information escaping, which usually can only be ordered by someone in command. They are also used to protect people inside a facility from a dangerous external event."

Dont even think about other things other than the defnition above of course, that is way beyond.  We can still go out but that will be dealt with an accountability from the person itself.  Whatever happens to you outside, company will not be responsible from risk. Thats what happen when you work on place like this where security, safety and the welfare of the employee is at danger when alert is stretch to the high limit. There is also an evacuation plan just in case things got worst and the foreigner needs to be evacuated.  The nearest Base affiliated with the company will accommodate such number of the staff provided they will have to show certain documentation. So far we have not reach that period so the risk is still tolerable but for how long - No one knows. The least we could do is just to stay home and wait for the security advices.

Looks like I cannot enjoy not having a work for that period though my compensation is still the same, Im flooded with paper works when the office resumes on Saturday. So do I say TGIS? who knows haha!!!

Tips on fighting Stress Fatigue especially Work
    1. Exercise-Any exercise can be beneficial in helping with fatigue. According to http://www.yogabasics.com/ "Yoga is an especially effective treatment for fatigue as it combines movement, rest and stress reduction with the cultivation of prana (life force energy) and the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and renew response)." Walking just 20-30 minutes a day has been shown to be very beneficial as well.

On Low Profile (Personal and Professional)

Where does it draw the line? How far will you know when you reach the point that you have been taken personally not knowing that your professional relationship has been affected too. A lot has been damage, much more that it can be rectified but takes time to heal whatever the good relationship you have with them.

This past days have been a very tough and difficult for me to move and decide as to what is the best solution to resolve issues that affects my personal as well as professional relationship and Yes it took me weeks to come up with an alternative, to hide the glimpse of light and just be my self away from everything. I know its hard but gradually I'l be able to pick up the pieces again.

In every corner aspect of life, there comes the trials on how long you'll be able to survive and get hold of the grip.  It hit me directly and there was no one I could lean on nor I can trust to get the good advice as everything is puzzled, blurred and unsatisfactory. The only thing I decided to do is to keep quite, ponder and ask if there is much more to prove to the sincerity and value to the relationship you have with them. I guess there is nothing except for a piece of garbage being shown up to your face. I have learned from my mistake, not all the smiles are sincere and true in front of you and for that you just have to dance with the music which I don't think I'l be able to do that instead will keep myself distant.

There maybe a lot of changes that will happen and I hope my colleagues and friends would thoroughly understand the decision that I will make in the coming days. It will be hard on my part but i know this is the best alternative way so that things will come back to where it was - Normal, convenient and contented life and whatever appetizers that will be added to it. it will just me and only me to know and enjoy it. I am taking one step backward away from the majority and will not be seeing me for a very long time as I will be closing my Facebook Account which I have already been using, uploading my Photos, being visible on the public eye and the places I visited.  Thank you for being part of it.  I will have to keep my self very low as this is the good and the right decision that I will make.  Rest assured that the Journey that I will be passing through will be as adventure and meaningful. Time will pass and I know that somewhere along the road, will be able to bump to each other and I hope things are gonna be ok and have change for the good.  God Bless to everyone and Moving forward!!!

    Balance: Career and Personal Life

For many of us, twenty-four hours is not enough in a single day! With jobs, Night-outs, and the hope of a social life, each of us is cramming as much as we can every day. While we are trying to keep up during this highly competitive age, working too much has some negative, lingering effect with the study shows what happens when people overwork themselves.

A psychologist finds that a vacation is essential for mindfulness, which is mediating in a non-judgmental way. This allows individuals to be present while clearing their minds and has plenty of health benefits, like lowering both heart rate and blood pressure.

It is extremely hard to shut down the computer, turn off the phone, and just unwind. Most of us have this ridiculous fear that we will miss some amazing opportunity or not respond fast enough to the "oh-so" important email. But, at the end of the day, our health, sanity, and well-being must be put first. There is nothing wrong with working hard, but we all must strike a balance between work and play.

Are you a workaholic? Do you think there are ways you can change to better yourself?

    Contemplating

As I get to relax and ponder on at my office seat I decided to write a short analysis of what happens during I came back from my vacation with all the loads of paperwork's lining in and waiting to be signed and bothered by something else in my mind, I get to pause and re-think twice.

Many things happen for a reason, happy at the moment and later on sad. I was surprise to know that things are not permanently as they use to be and even the situations here in the place I work is indispensable. Being affected so far here and back home has given me insight that life as we know it is really unpredictable.

Moving forward, we just got to get going as life is a past phase like a bullet, better be ready and prepared for whatever outcome it will bring.

Best Vacation I have - Wanna Know Why?

I didnt even expect it will turn out to be the best so far in all vacations I have in the past as I was only there to renew my passport, not bad I guess as visiting places I haven't been and meeting new and interesting people that brought shed of light to my life onwards and the importance of it. Let me refresh my memories as to what happens during those period with my Regine's "Fantasy Album" as my inspirations while writing this...

Let me start my journey by visiting "Laiya Resort-Batangas" where I happen to purchase a small piece of property that will eventually be my retirement upon settling back to Manila for good. This resort is actually to be the home, vacation spots and gateaways by some of the famous celebrities like Renee Salud, Lorna Tolentino, Aga and Charlene and even Regine as I heard from my broker purchase a property. I wouldn't be surprise as the developer of "Punta Fuego" is making this to be the center of travel spot among local and will eventually attract tourist.

Another interesting journey in that place is that I was able to join with my long time friends on the other resort and had a quick but was indeed wackiest and enjoyable moments. Time flies as you can see mostly of them gained weight probably because we get matured as time passed but nonetheless to say they were great and no hang ups, no pretensions just be yourself and be whatever you want.

Next Journey, Hundred Island, Alaminos Pangasinan where I shared my fun and enjoyment with my family only.   After a haggard no rest trip from Batangas, I went straight ahead as the fiesta is just about to start that nigh I left Manila via Victory liner. Arrived in the morning and had quick nap and invited family to go straight to a place which considered to be the booming tourist spot destination. We had a quick tour from some of the amazing island namely 'Romulo Island, Childrens Island, Bat Cave Island where you can see in daylight the hanging Bat's, and lastly the Quezon Island where we settle and enjoy the rest of the day. My family mostly of my Nephews and Nieces had great time there as this was the first outing ever we had. I was happy to see them really smiling and enjoying every moment of it and for that I am relieved.

Then I headed to the south, this time "Palawan" where I brought my 2 best buddy Dave and Jay as we visit straight to Coron recommended by a close colleague of them by the name of Edge. We stayed in Inay Glo's humble resort house  but with fabulous tour package and fantastic serving of foods. The short stay was indeed a memorable as we get to see the magnificent islands, had a quick lunch and again made a tour, its good thing the weather was very merciful as we relish the scenery as well as the surprising formation of rock. One thing that cathes my attention as when we stop by to an island named "Twin Lagoon" where I was amazed by how this lagoon was preserved surrounded by a fabulous formations of rocks. I will never forget my experience as I even recommended it to my fellow officemates to do the same.

Last journey ended in Boracay in Caticlan, considered to be one of the world class beach resort and stayed in one of the best resort there "Fairways and Blue Waters". There I get to see a good friend of mine Joel and got to be introduce to some of his colleague Ava. Who would forgot Patch which surprise me too. I was even delighted to meet some of their Taiwanese friend the night they had a party at "Paraw".

The enjoyment I had, the fun and the good beaches extended my happiness along the way. The long stretches of white sand from station 1 to station 3 give me the best impression that Boracay was indeed "World Class Beach Resort".

On the concluding note, Why do you think its the best vacation I have so far, simple, mainly because I got the chance to know him more, short but very meaningful. It was then that everything materialize for the 3rd round. My first and 2nd visit was short as I have to leave for my U.S. trip. Any possibility of making it more and perhaps a permanent one? Who knows as time will tell. I am not closing my door as I know there is something very interesting that I need to know more on him. That "Something" is really a trademark indeed.

    Different

If you do not want what I want, please try not to tell me that my want is wrong. Or if my beliefs are different from yours, at least pause before you set out to correct them.Or if my emotion seems less or more intense than yours, given the same circumstances, try not to ask me to feel other than I do. I do not, for the moment at least, ask you to understand me. That will only come when you are willing to give up trying to change me into a copy of you. If you will allow me any of my own wants, or emotions, or beliefs, or actions, then you open yourself to the possibility that some day these ways of mine might not seem so wrong, and might finally appear as right – for me. To put up with me is the first step to understanding me.
Not that you embrace my ways as right for you, but

that you are no longer  irritated or disappointed with me for my seeming waywardness. And one day, perhaps, in trying to understand me, you might come to prize my differences, and, far from seeking to change me, might preserve and even cherish those differences. I may be your spouse, your parent, your offspring, your friend, your colleague. But whatever our relation: You and I are fundamentally different and both of us have to march to our own drummer.

    Kabul with Love

What do we basically have in our mind when we hear the word "Kabul"? frightening and scary place, careful with talebans and suicide bombers. But really this country has interesting things that you see that you cannot actually going find our from other place. Have you seen a bread hanging outside the store? Would you dare to buy it and eat it?  Whenever I go to my office, I usually pass by on this road with store selling this bread hanging outside with all those busy traffic vehicles passing by and I couldn;t imagine this Afghan people of the health it will cause. I guess its in the culture.

Another interesting view to see here is the mud house being built in the mountains. There were so many built solid mud house as well as concrete ones that goes even at the tip of the mountain without a clear stairs going there. You would wonder if there is a water and electricity being provided there plus of course the very important one - How are you going to "Pee and Poh" and where does it go? I just really couldn't guess and go further with my analysis as long as they happy and enjoy, then I'm happy then.

On the other side, risky and threat are still everywhere, you cannot go out in the evening as there is much questioning and curfew in some areas. visibilities in public are restricted, restaurants and bars are quite not sure to hang out, supermarkets are nowadays are also being targeted by the suicide bombers. The powerful blast killed at least 8 people including three western women who were shopping in the store at the time and injured six.
Finest Supermarket is located across the street from the British Embassy and sits at the entrance of Wazir Akbar Khan, a popular neighborhood with diplomats, journalist and other foreigners.  I was suppose to be there to buy some of my day to day toiletries. I guess its not time yet.

Places of Interest: There are some places that you will be delighted to visit here in the day light, planning to buy some souvenirs such as precious gem stones, fabulous carpets, few selected electronics, great items that are actually originated in Afghanistan only. The old part of Kabul is filled with bazaars nestled along its narrow, crooked streets. Cultural sites include the Afghan National Museum.Other places of interest include Kabul City Center, which is Kabul's first shopping mall, the shops around Flower Street and Chicken Street, Wazir Akbar Khan district. One thing for sure that when you go out, try to bring somebody with you especially for women as this is a place that you really are not sure of your safety.

    Life Begins at 40 (Birthday)

What do people go through once they hit the big four-zero? What goes on in their minds? What about their lifestyle, does it change? Their relationships, their worries, problems and secrets. Life begins at forty. This is the revolutionary outcome of our New Era. Today it is half a truth. Tomorrow it will be an axiom

In the coming 2 days from now, I will be celebrating my 40th birthday here in Kabul Afghanistan with much hope and wish that I will be safe. They say that by the time you are forty years old, you have enough experience and skill to do what you want to do with your life. (Often said as an encouragement to those reaching middle age. also, by that time we had enough financial security to enjoy our-self now and then, rather than having to work all the time.

If you are running thirty nine, it means that your count down has begun for turning into forty; you need not unduly worry about your aging and you are getting into in your forties. There is an English proverb ‘Life begins at forty. How true it is! In fact it is a prophecy. There’s something about turning forty that brings out the philosopher in us all. “You’re only as old as the person you feel”

The liberation of the big 4-0 has enabled me to look at myself and my own needs from not so much a selfish point of view but an assured and settled one. This in itself is quite magical from an ‘inner sanctum’ point of view as it offers us, for perhaps the first time in our adult lives, freedom from the weight of others’ judgement that we have perhaps unknowingly carried around with us since our childhood. Suddenly, in our forties we acquire the liberating understanding that no-one’s judgement really matters except our own. That, instead of feeling responsible for other people’s happiness, we can simply choose to embrace the understanding that we can’t change the world after all and that, instead of watching our life go by through the expectant eyes of others, we can actually start living it on our own terms.

So, to all of you about to turn forty I say this: be prepared for the unexpected - you! Enjoy your fortieth birthday and the years to come with all their magic, miracles and above all the understanding that life really has just begun. Happy Birthday to me on March 10.

    Farewell

As i began to rest for the whole day from work as usual Payroll week preparation,  I decided to write this in behalf of my direct superior last day of job supervision in the office.  He has been so supportive and a believer that any person can be somebody regardless of his chosen gender. He has help me to become who I am now and he did not look at me as to what I am in my physical appearance thus, he measure my capabilities and strength to cope up with the pressure and toughest job being in the finance department only Gay handling straight and multinationals across Afghanistan. With his expectation, I gave my dedication and hardwork, loyalty and honest supervision of the financial of the entire company. But sad to say his leaving the Afghanistan for good to embark on another journey. I say thank you for the support you have given to me for without you, I would not be here in my position. Let me share the letter he wrote to the finance personnel which is very heartwarming to me as follows:

    Dear Finance Team:

There always comes a time in life when another stage of development comes often quicker than you want.  The almost three years in Afghanistan for me is coming to a close as I begin the next phase of life.  Ping and I will be returning to the US permanently.
My last day of work will be this Thursday.

With that being said I want to thank each and every one of you for your dedication and hard work in the Accounting department.  Without your support and dedication nothing could have been accomplished.  We have all seen many changes here not only with more new people and even some returning, but with many issues arising daily.  Not only have you been a part of a team, but have become a family in my mind.  We will miss each of you and will have fond memories of the good times we have shared.

Never look back in life, but look to the present and future in your quest for whatever goals you have set for yourself. Keep a positive attitude and you will achieve those goals.
Again, thanks for your hard work and friendship here in Afghanistan.
    God Bless,
    Tom K Stiles

Thank you for everything that you have done to me, My life changes from the start that you have fought for me from the beginning, from all the struggles and difficulties i have been through, you were there to support and even defended me to all my detractors.  Indeed, you will be truly missed.

    End of the Road

Some of us really doesn't know when is the right time for us to rest for good whether this is tragic or just plain natural death. List below are some of the unusual death and perhaps we may need to think and ponder carefully of our faith. Life is unpredictable and we should be taking care of it.

And so they zoom off in their cadillacs, convertibles or Harley-Davidsons, eager to sample life’s evanescent pleasures like there’s no tomorrow. And maybe there isn’t, if this list of celebrity crashes were any indication. For these casualties, the road to fame proved to be a shortcut to mortality as well.

    1. On Aug. 21, 2010, Bb. Pilipinas-International 2009 Melody Gersbach, 24, and her two companions were killed when their van was hit head-on by a passenger bus in Camarines Sur. The bus driver was trying to avoid hitting a tricycle, the police said.
    2. Similar circumstances surrounded the death of award-winning director Lino Brocka, who died on May 21, 1991 at age 52. Brocka’s driver, actor William Lorenzo, avoided a tricycle that suddenly crossed their path, only to see two people crossing the street. The actor tried to avoid hitting them, but ran smack against a concrete electric post.
    3. Ric Segreto who hit it big with such pop songs as “Kahit Konting Pagtingin,” ”Give Me a Chance,” and “Don’t Know What to Do, Don’t Know What to Say” was riding a motorcycle along the Buendia flyover that was then under construction when his bike skidded. He died of head injuries at age 46, on Sept. 6, 1998.
    4. Jay Ilagan was 39 when he lost control of his motorcycle and died on Feb. 3, 1992.
    5. Claudia Zobel, who made waves when she starred in Lino Brocka’s “Bayan Ko: Kapit sa Patalim,” was learning to drive when she lost control of her vehicle on Feb. 10, 1984. The sexy starlet’s car hit a concrete gutter, flipped and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
    6. Like Claudia, Jonjon Hernandez died when his car hit a concrete barrier in 2000. The child actor of “That’s Entertainment” fame was the son of actress Alicia Alonzo and actor Ross Rival.
    7. Bold star Halina Perez was barely 21 when she died on March 4, 2004. She had just come from a gig in Camarines Sur when their SUV hit a container van.
Hollywood’s celebrity crashes are as grim.
    8. The cause of Jayne Mansfield’s fame (or notoriety) preceded her, literally. Nope, this busty Hollywood sex goddess didn’t get decapitated when her speeding car rear-ended a tractor trailer and went under it in a fatal accident in 1967. The photograph of her blonde wig thrown against the windshield gave rise to the disproven rumor about the star losing her head. She was 34.

    12. Before automobiles, there were horse carriages, and they were just as deadly. Nobel Prize-winning physicist Pierre Curie, 47, died after being run over by one on April 19, 1906.
    13. Former porn star turned anti-pornography crusader Linda Lovelace of “Deep Throat” notoriety, died from injuries suffered in a car crash on April 22, 2002.
    14. This time, he didn’t report the news; he made it. On April 23, 2007, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and historian David Halberstam (“The Best and the Brightest,” “The Powers That Be”) was killed when his driver, a graduate student, ran a light and made an illegal left turn into the path of a car. He was 73.
    15. Before Princess Di, there was Prince Aly Khan, 48, son of Aga Khan (Asian and African Ismaili Muslim leader), and husband of screen legend Rita Hayworth. The prince was killed in France in a head-on collision with another automobile on May 12, 1960.
    16. In 1956, American pop artist Jackson Pollock, 44, lost control of his convertible while driving near East Hampton, New York, hit an oak tree, and died instantly of a skull fracture.
    17. Byrds guitarist Clarence White was only 29 when he was killed by a drunk driver who hit him while he was loading music equipment into a van. The co-inventor of the Parsons-White string bender died on July 14, 1973.
    18. Did you know that John Lennon’s mother, Julia, died in an automobile accident on July 15, 1958? One wonders how old this famous Beatle was then.
    19. Just like that, she was “Gone with the Wind.” On Aug. 16, 1949, novelist Margaret Mitchell, 48, died after being struck down by a speeding taxi driven by an intoxicated driver.
    20. Too old to drive. On Aug. 30, 1991, country singer Dottie West was killed when she rode a car with her 81-year-old neighbor, who was speeding and subsequently lost control of his car. Dottie died five days later. She was 58.

    22. There was also no fairy-tale ending for Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, who died in a car crash on Sept. 14, 1982. The car was driven by one of her daughters.
    23. Metallica bass player Cliff Burton, 24, was killed when the band’s tour bus flipped over on an icy road in Sweden on Sept. 27, 1986.

The whistleblower had discovered evidence of spills, leaks, and missing plutonium and exposed them – a courageous move made into the movie, “Silkwood.”

    28. Lost in transit. In November 1982, Barack Obama, Sr., 46, father of the US president, died in an alcohol-related accident after driving his car off the road and crashing. A few months earlier, Obama senior had lost both legs in an automobile accident and subsequently lost his job.

My Blue Valentine this February Month

We know that February is special month especially for people who are In-love and we expect gifts either in the form of Flowers which are basically visible in the streets and of course Chocolates.  You will see that restaurants are already fully booked on that day and shows are everywhere where you can see couples watching the enjoying the evening. Indeed, that day is flooded with lovers regardless whether they are legal or just enjoying the intimacy of the occasions.

This occasions I celebrate blue Valentine mainly because I don't have a date nor do I have a special someone to celebrate it. Valentine has been such an occasion that I considered normal day that will pass though I can celebrate it and go out with someone just for the sake of making it a special day. I can be with my friends and have a dinner outside here in Kabul but for sure it will be flooded with Expat already lining up to have a reservation ready for themselves. There are few restaurants and bars to visit for sure but do I need that and go with the flow with other people just to celebrate it? I can just seat and relax in my bed watching the the new DVD release in the theater while enjoying the taste of the buritos and perhaps Almonds and nuts, simple and not expensive.

I have been reminiscing my past and wonder, when was the last time I did celebrate Valentine? I don't seem to remember that I took part and have experience it. I guess i was too busy then at that time with friends and not entertaining too much attention on prospects or perhaps I was too meticulous in dating with so much pre-requisites in my mind and ending up just being me. I love to experience that, the feeling of being taken care of, someone that cares and think of you everyday, giving you surprises not only flowers and chocolates on special occasions, the one that will be with you for a long period of time.

With the upcoming Valentine with only few more days to come, what do I have in mind? should I celebrate it with friends and go out have a dinner or just be at home letting it pass just like another day. Bear in mind that period is still critical to me as I have a deadline of my payroll and scheduling of routine transactions, I know I have been saying this in my past postings but what to do, I have been locked with responsibilities in my work and the company that relies on my expertise. But for sure that day will be a busy day to me as some of my local suitors and fans will be calling me to accommodate them for their temporary loneliness. This month, Valentine will be celebrated in a different way and I will be the only to figure it out when that time comes.

    Career and Investment

Is it really important to maintain your career and put into investment? A lot of us would think perhaps we need to enjoy and relax when the due of our works needs to take to time out for a while. The fruit of our hardwork and sweats should be given rewards and must be enjoyed but we need to consider future, Are we going to last long long on the success that we are currently enjoying so far?  They say enjoy it while last, or perhaps today we celebrate and be merry for tomorrow we shall die.  Those are things that never came into my mind.  I would rather live in a simple life happy and contented but with so much obligations and responsibilities that has dump into your shoulders, you might wanna think very carefully. Career and sacrifices always go along together whenever I embark into another journey.

Its been almost years and years that I have been in the overseas trying to find out what I really want with my career, of course I have always fall into my stream of profession "Finance or Accounting". Middle East has always been the focal point of location where I try my luck and so far it gives me the confidence to land on the job I want.  There maybe discrimination and prejudices but I always take the positive notion that I am the one they are looking for, the Big Asset for the company.  Career change? Is it really timely? what about moving to a new environment is it really worth it?  Those are the things in my mind that's bugging me, I am not really sure If I am ready to move as there are things that needs to prioritize at the moment. Given the possibility, I would have to weight things before regretting it later on.

Investing while working and enjoying the career is the main goal of why I am still here.  There has been many changes in the past that has brought the shed of light into my life of what I have right now. Every penny I earned and save has been put into investment as this will later on be the fall back after retiring from work. I am very wise of making the decision for a longer term period and making it more profitable as the years will pass.  Additional assets has been line up and this perhaps will be the final one before I decide to choose what I want whether to continue or move to another level of career change.  I just need to relax and enjoy seating in the beach while watching the sun rises and the sunsets.  My only hope is that when the time comes that I can share it with him, wherever he is I know that his there waiting.

    Envy and Insecurity

As I sat in my desk at the office taking the deep breath and relaxing after the storms of paperwork's, I ask myself - why is that people are not contented nor satisfied with what was given to them and still search and ask for more?  Are we not happy that the amount of blessings we receive is  based on the contributions and effort we give to the company or the people that we help that we do not need to expect more? I simply cannot imagine that there is still people existing with that kind of personality - a merely greedy and jealousy.

In my culture, it exist the so called "Crab Mentality" - people who are jealous and insecure and cannot accept the fact that other people are successful and happy that they tend to downgrade and make a lot of bad things to say just pull down the person and let him see that person is suffering.  Is that person feel happy and guilty conscious when she sees the other experiencing difficulties in life? I don't know if she/he are still having a good sleep everyday if she is still carrying the burden all through her life.

I have live my entire life happy seeing others enjoying the success they have out of their sweat and hardwork.  I even supported them with their goals in life and give them my advices through my experiences and educations. With the success I have right now, I have never felt insecure or envy if I see other people advancing their career nor have pull up dramatically fast because this may have a reason which are beyond my understanding.  My only concern is my personal growth and the future that awaits me.

I feel bad and pity for people who acquired this traits as they will not grow and be a successful model to others.  I could only hope that "Karma" will not attack them back and be regretful in the end for the wrong things they have done to others and to themselves as well.  I pray that whatever joys and the fruit of success that I am enjoying will be the same for them as well but this of course cannot be as easy as that.  The road to success involves sacrifices and trials and we just need to take the right path to choose.

    Stress and Pressure

How do we cope up stress and pressure whether this is personal or in work place?  I have ask this mainly because I have been challenge lately in my work  how to handle the pressure from work and into my staff.  You have to meet ahead of the deadlines, reports that needs to be finished early and submitted to the head office timely and correctly. The pressure also needs to be delegated to the staff as they have their works to accomplish on an immediate time frame.

I always cope up with pressure in terms of time management, priorities and discipline in order for me run my work responsibilities smoothly. There were times that I have to work in spite of being sick just to finish and meet the deadlines. 2 months past in 2010 that I have to push myself  on top of my work, very sick and still in the office working and getting  things done in accordance to the deadline. My staff is also being pressured to their given task, stress to complete and finish the work required.

Stress and pressure to me can be treated and handled carefully as this will be a cause of breakdown, depressions and sometimes suicide cases.  There were a lot of incidents that made this dreaded problems more vulnerable to those people who cannot handle it very seriously. You may wonder that mostly of this cases appear to top executive and those with the higher positions in the management.  They are being pressured to make all the reports submitted on time. I myself, experience it.

There is a way we can overcome the stress and Pressure if we only have to focus and concentrate more on our work priorities, self discipline and  time management.  It is always there in our daily struggles in life and work routines but if we manage it, deal with the problems and come up with a good and sound alternative solutions, we can overcome it and make our daily lives healthy and normal day to day process.
